What to Expect on Your Call

You and your therapist will begin by discussing important details about your medical history and current injuries. Then, your therapist will assess your level of function and activity through some simple movements on camera. Be sure to clear a bit of space around you before your call to accommodate these exercises and if you need an assistive device, have this handy as well. Your call will conclude with some next steps to take on your health journey with Kaia.

What Equipment Do You Need?

To access your session, you’ll need one of the following devices:

  • Desktop computer with a camera, built-in microphone, and speakers
  • Laptop with a camera, built-in microphone, and speakers
  • Smartphone connected to wifi or data
  • Tablet connected to wifi or data

How to Join Your Call

Join using a computer or laptop

Option #1: Join via Browser

  1. Open the appointment reminder email on your device and click the link to join your meeting
  2. A new tab will open. Click Launch Meeting
  3. Select Join from your browser
  4. If you see the pop-up to enable audio and video, select Allow
  5. Enter your name
  6. When you are ready, click Join

Option #2: Join via Zoom app

  1. Download the Zoom app
  2. Open the appointment reminder email on your device and click the link to join your meeting
  3. A new tab will open. Click Open Zoom.us in the pop-up
  4. You're in! Click Join with computer audio

Join using a smart phone or tablet

  1. Download Zoom using the App or Google Play store
  2. Open the appointment reminder email
  3. Click the link to join your meeting—this will open the Zoom app
  4. Click Join with Video when you're ready

Tips for Success

  • We recommend joining your session a few minutes early.
  • Download the Zoom app before trying to join the call on mobile devices and tablets.
  • Choose a well-lit, quiet area and make sure you have enough space to stand up and move around.
  • To cancel your appointment or reach your therapist, reply to your appointment reminder email.
